“Be holy, because I am holy.” (1 Peter 1:16) In the Bible, we read about David who after having committed murder and adultery had remorse for his sins. He regretted and wailed, “For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned and done what is evil in Your sight” (Psalm 51:3-4). When he humbled himself before the Almighty God, God forgave him. He was renewed and received a new spirit. The God who said “Be holy, because I am holy” (1 Peter 1:16) is rich in mercy and abundant in forgiveness. He never rejects anyone. Yes, the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear (Isaiah 59:1). Ms. Jeyapriya who was touched by the love of God that came chasing her, testifies the transformation brought in by God’s forgiveness. “My mother prayed for me every day for my holy living. One day, she took me to a meeting conducted by Jesus Calls ministry. While Bro. Paul Dhinakaran was praying, he fervently prayed for youth saying, “Let the glory of God descend on the young people. Fill them with the Holy Spirit and let them all speak in tongues. Let the Gift of Prophecy fill them.”I joined with him in prayer and sought God’s face. At that moment, I saw Jesus standing before me. Jesus touched my shoulders. My hands began to quiver in His presence. I cried and confessed all my sins. Jesus smiled at me. My heart was filled with great peace. Jesus transformed my whole life. I praise Jesus who forgave all my sins.” Beloved, to be delivered from the spirit of darkness, humble yourself in the hands of the Lord. Surrender yourself to His love that delivers and revives you. God is patient with you, not wanting you to perish (2 Peter 3:9). He is the One who has the authority to forgive you. Only He can deliver you and fill you with a great peace. Turn to Jesus and confess your sins to Him today. He will help you to live a holy life. For everyone born of God overcomes the world (1 John 5:4). Yes, sin cannot have hold on a child washed by the blood of Jesus. Fall into His loving embrace. Taste and see the majesty of a transformed life. Prayer: Dear Lord, I have allowed the devil to steal, kill and destroy every good thing in my life. Now I desire deliverance from every sin. I want to lead a good life. Jesus, You came to save the lost. Please save me. Sanctify me by Your holy blood and make me a new person in Christ. I need Your cleansing. Break me free from every bondage. Let Your light shine in my life. Use me for Your glory. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen. Steadfast in holiness – Dr. Paul Dhinakaran
