God fights for you – Dr. Paul Dhinakaran
“Our God will fight for us!” (Nehemiah 4:20)
My precious friend, today’s promise is taken from Nehemiah 4:20. God says through his servants “Our God will fight for us!” Is “our God” your God? Today, blessed are those who make the Lord Jesus Christ as their God. That is what the Bible says, and when we have God on our side, who can be against us? Yes! make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life even now. Give your life to Him, and He says ‘I will be your God. I will fight for you.’
When God fights, he does not destroy people. He destroys the problem. Yes! He is a God of compassion for everyone. He is not going to destroy your enemies by killing them. He will pull the spirit of enmity out of them, making them powerless and give them a chance to turn to Him. More than the enemies, God is interested in you and in your blessing. How does He fight? He fills you with His blessing, so that no evil person will be able to overcome you. God’s blessing destroys every curse. That is the way God fights. Whom He has chosen to be His children and who have received Him as their God, He blesses them and that destroys all that is against them. A battle happened between David, who was a little boy and Goliath, who was a mighty warrior. As David was going before Goliath, in I Samuel 17:47 says, “All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.” Yes Goliath came with swords and spears and David just went with the name of God. God had blessed David. The blessings upon David made him overcome the great problem – Goliath.
In Exodus 14: 13, 14, the Pharaoh and his armies were racing behind the Israelites to kill them in the dessert, but God spoke to Moses and he spoke to the people saying “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Just keep quiet and enjoy the blessings that are upon you, and the Lord will keep on blessing you. You will not go and fight with the enemies, but your own blessings will deliver you. God opened the seas as Moses took a rod in his hands and stretched it forth towards the sea and parted it. No spear or arrow was used. The way opened and the Israelites were safe. Not even one was killed. It will happen to you. “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). You are blessed. God will bless you more and more. Every problem will go. No weapon formed against you will prosper. God will open new doors for you through the problems. You are blessed and you will be honored.
Prayer:
Father help me to have rest in my spirit to know that you are my God and you will take care of me. Let everything work unto good for me.
In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
