Sri Lanka Floods
Sri Lanka is reeling from one of its worst disasters in decades as torrential rains, Cyclone Ditwah, floods, and landslides have claimed hundreds of lives and displaced hundreds of thousands of families across all 25 districts. In this moment of deep pain, Jesus Calls Sri Lanka is stepping in with prayer, food, and essential supplies to bring the love and comfort of Christ to those who are suffering.
The disaster has left hundreds confirmed dead, hundreds more missing, and vast numbers without access to clean water, electricity, or basic necessities, making immediate relief an urgent need. Churches and faith-based communities across the nation have opened their doors to serve as shelters and relief centres, offering refuge, food, and hope.
Jesus Calls on the ground
Jesus Calls is a ministry of prayer, compassion, reconciliation, and nation-building, dedicated to exalting Jesus and healing the brokenhearted through 24/7 intercessory prayer and practical outreach. In this flood crisis, Jesus Calls Sri Lanka is mobilizing teams and partners to identify the worst-affected families and provide them with cooked meals, dry rations, drinking water, and essential supplies.
Through its network of prayer partners, volunteers, and local churches, the ministry is reaching out to those in shelters and cut-off communities with both material aid and spiritual encouragement. Every relief packet is shared as an expression of Christ’s love, accompanied by personal prayer and words of comfort to those who have lost homes, livelihoods, and loved ones.
How your support helps
Your generous support enables Jesus Calls to quickly procure and distribute relief packs that include rice, dhal, dry food items, safe drinking water, basic hygiene materials, and other essentials for families who have lost everything. Contributions also help sustain ongoing relief beyond the first few days—supporting families as they begin to rebuild, restore livelihoods, and send children back to school.
In addition to immediate supplies, your partnership strengthens the ministry’s continuous prayer and counseling support, offering emotional and spiritual care to people traumatized by the disaster. Every gift, large or small, becomes part of a compassionate response that reflects the heart of Jesus for the wounded and the weary.
A call to pray for Sri Lanka
Along with giving, every believer is invited to stand in the gap and pray earnestly for Sri Lanka during this critical hour. Pray that the Lord will comfort those who mourn, protect rescue workers and volunteers, restore infrastructure, and grant wisdom to national leaders as they coordinate relief and rebuilding.
