Blessing Message

“The LORD will work out his plans for my life for your faithful love, O LORD, endures forever.” (Psalm 138:8)
Dear friend, God will not allow you to rely on anyone for your needs. You are not going to come up in life just by the property someone gives you. You are not going to see a great change because of someone’s help. When God has determined a plan for your life no man can help you. To fulfil His will, He himself will command you to be lifted high in life. The Lord says, “The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the LORD; in its time I will do this swiftly” (Isaiah 60:22). So invest your time in finding out God’s will and fulfilling it. Wait for the Lord. The Lord who showed you His plan will give you strength to fulfil it.

In the beginning days of our ministry, between the year 1980 to 1985, when we were trying to build Karunya, we were running to people for help. We would say to them, “the Lord wants us to build Karunya. Please give us this order. Please register this land”. At that time we did not have money neither did anyone come forward to help us. Sometimes, our friends would say, “we will arrange meetings with some of the richest people. Just share God’s plan with them and they themselves will help you in building the college” and they would arrange such meetings. When we say to those businessmen that God wants us to build a college so please help us, some of them would say, “why should someone without money build a college? That too, if you come in the name of God will it happen?” and treat us badly.

The people you trust might reject you. No one might be willing to help you and they might move away from you. Do not be troubled! Bible says, “It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in people” (Psalm 118:8). Seek God’s kingdom with faith. If you seek God, God will surely do justice and the right things for you. He himself will build your house. He himself will build your children’s future and raise them high in life. The Lord himself will do everything for you (Psalm 138:8). When God himself does things for you, you will be more blessed than other people.

Loving God!

I praise you for the plans You have for me. Nobody can shut what You open. Open the doors of blessing in my life. I have been let down by so many people whom I trusted. Thank You for allowing me to walk through this difficult path. Through this I have learnt to trust that You are the One who does all things for me. I consider You more important to me than my education, name, fame and riches.  May Your fountain of blessings for me open in my life.

“… If anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.” (1 John 2:1)
My friend, how pathetic was Job’s state in the Bible. You too might be suffering in a similar situation. When your petitions don’t seem to be heard by God, you might feel like saying, “how nice it would be if there was someone who would plead to the Lord on my behalf!”. Do not worry. You have a Mediator on your behalf! The Bible says, “For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time” (1 Timothy 2:5-6). Yes, the Lord Jesus is seated at the right hand of God in order to intercede for us and to argue for our situation.

In the 1974 my wife and I had gone to a foreign country. We planned to go to another airport from the capital of the city.  An officer in that airport inspected our ticket and said a signature that should have been placed by the officers in the capital city airport was missing and because of that we cannot be allowed to leave the country. We did not know what to do and we panicked. We tried to explain there was no fault on our side but everything was in vain. They said we cannot delay the flight any longer and saying so they unloaded our entire luggage. When we were perplexed that we did not have anyone to plead for our case in this foreign land, an officer who was watching all of this from a short distance, came to us and asked us what was the matter Then with a smiling face he went to the officer who denied our ticket and said something in their language. That’s all. We were once again called by the officer who asked us to sign in some of the documents and allowed us to travel by the same flight. We thanked the officers and our new friends with all our heart and we boarded the plane.
In the same way in our crucial times, our Lord Jesus intercedes on our behalf to our heavenly Father. Are you disturbed that you have no one to help you and that you are suffering alone in poverty and failures? The Lord Jesus will go to the Father and say, “He is mine. She is mine. My dear father, I have given my life for them. Remember my sacrifice and help them in my name”. So don’t be disheartened. The Lord will deliver you from every pain and bless you.

Thank You for Your sacrifice and for pleading to the Heavenly Father on my behalf. I Thank You that I will always have You beside me to intercede for me. Lord deliver me from all my problems. Thank You for I am not alone and You will always be there to help me.

“The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light.” (Matthew 6:22)
These days, many people who get involved and committed to evil deeds because of the lust in their eyes. At times men wrongly perceive that other women who look more beautiful than their wives. This becomes the root cause for all evil deeds of the devil: Sin and division, bitterness and enmity are allowed to creep into their marital life. Dearly beloved! If you are also walking in this path of darkness, confess your sins to our Saviour Jesus Christ, so that your eyes may be purified and you will find a new path of light to traverse on. Those who are already living in the light are encouraged to intercede with fervent prayers for those poor souls who live in darkness and lead them to walk in light.

A head of a family ignored the excellence of God’s salvation. He was an easy prey of the lust for many women; he shamelessly sinned with his eyes and walked in evil ways. He wounded his wife by his immoral behaviour. As a father he was of no use to his children. His wife worked hard to earn money for the mere survival of the family. She prayed and committed her husband into the hands of the Lord. She taught her children to walk in the right ways. Her husband who lived in presumptuous sin destroyed his own life. He lost sight in both his eyes at the age of 45 because of this dark life that he lived. Now, who would take care of him? In this pitiable state, it was his wife who forgave him of all his cruel deeds and gave him a new lease of life. Yes, she took his hands and guided him to walk in the righteous ways of the Lord filled with light.

Dearly beloved! “But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!” (Matthew 6:23). When you experience good times, it is better to walk in the light of the Lord so that you do not become blind and lead a miserable life. See that you keep your eyes clean and remain focused on God, the divine light. To walk in the right way you need to walk by the Word of God. God says, “If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell” (Matthew 5:29). So don’t take God’s Word lightly and continue to sin. Repent and leave your ways and you will not just be changed but be blessed and transformed into God’s likeness. God’s eyes are too pure to look on evil (Habakkuk 1:13). Our eyes should also be pure like our Heavenly Father’s for Jesus says, “Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect” (Matthew 5:48). Let us therefore aim to please God by striving towards perfection.

Prayer:
Loving Saviour!

Lead me in the paths of light so that my eyes do not fall into darkness and sin. Fill me with the spirit of prayer so that I will pray with great burden for those who walk boldly in the paths of darkness. Help me to be perfect just as you are perfect. I thank You for hearing this prayer.

“If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you” (John 15:7).
My dearly beloved, let us open our ears to listen to the Lord today. God says, “but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved” (Matthew 24:13). Let us prayerfully read the Bible every day so that we hear God’s voice to stand firm till the end.  The Lord says, “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you” (John 15:7). Lord Jesus is the Word of God. To remain in the Lord we have to remember and rely on the Word of God so that we remain in Jesus and receive from the Lord whatever we ask Him for. We read in Matthew 9:32-33, “While they were going out, a man who was demon-possessed and could not talk was brought to Jesus. And when the demon was driven out, the man who had been mute spoke. The crowd was amazed and said, ‘Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.’”

The Lord who made the mute man talk will do miracles for you too. Jesus says, “For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened” (Matthew 7:8). We should ask the Lord and receive miracles from Him. Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness (Matthew 9:35). The Lord is still living and is still going around doing miracles and healing people. God will do the same for you too.

We also read, “Jesus travelled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God” (Luke 8:1). Jesus went everywhere proclaiming good news. Forsaking hunger and thirst, Jesus travelled with His twelve disciples to many towns and villages preaching freedom from sickness, sin and demon possession. The good news of Jesus is that He will turn your situation around. In Acts 10:38 the disciples explained that “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.”  We also read that, “When He(Jesus) saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd” (Matthew 9:36). The Lord has compassion on you and He will do wonders for you today.
Prayer:
Loving Lord,

You are so full of love and compassion and You haven’t changed so do a miracle for me too today. Set me free from my bondages. Turn my situation around and bring something good out of it for You are a good God. You are my shepherd and You alone can help me. Make me a testimony. Let me also share Your good news with everyone in my life for Your glory.

I ask this Father in Jesus name, Amen.

“…. my people will be filled with my bounty”   (Jeremiah 31:14)
May the Lord cherish you, take care of you and fill you with all the good things even today. Yes, God is our father. He wants us to be happy all the time. He says, “I give my peace to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27) God wants you to be at peace all the time. That is why every time the Lord visited His disciples, He assured them of His peace. Even today, let everything bring you peace. May you be filled with joy and finish the day with God’s abounding goodness. The Lord is with you all the time for this very purpose. Once when Jesus came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. In that crowd there was a leper and he came to Jesus. He bowed down before Him and asked the Lord to heal him if He was willing to heal (Matthew 8:1,2).

In those days, a leper was separated from the residents of a place and was forced to stay away in a remote place. They have to dwell alone. They have to leave their family and go alone to a faraway place. In our times, people who are affected by corona are separated from their family and are quarantined. They are isolated from their loved ones and are alone in hospitals. If some of them die, their bodies are being burnt and not given to their family members for burial. In many countries, they are buried in mass graves. They are dumping hundreds in the same pit. These are perilous times. The leper was in a similar state. Also, if anyone crosses a leper they should shout “Unclean! Unclean! I am unclean!”. That was the law of that day.

Today, you might be facing such saddening circumstances. May be your own heart shouts at you saying, “you are unclean”. May be you feel rejected and dejected. May be you are saying, “don’t come to me, I am cursed”. In this state only the leper came to Jesus seeking His favour. Do you know what happened? When he shouted saying, “Lord if you are willing, please make me clean”, the Lord heard him and stretched out His hand and touched him who was feeling unloved all the time and healed him (Matthew 8:3). When the Law forbid everyone from touching the lepers, the Lord showed His power to cancel the writings against us (Colossians 2:14) and touched him. This shows the compassion of the Lord. The Lord hasn’t changed and He is still willing and His hands are still stretched toward you to bless you.

Loving Lord,

Establish these words in my life. Let me experience your goodness in a sufficient measure. Make me clean by placing Your hand on me. Purify me. Heal me. Deliver me. Help me to live peacefully and blessedly with my loved ones in my family and society. Give me a new life. In Your sweet name I pray Lord Jesus, Amen.

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” ( Jeremiah 29:13)
Dear friends! May you have a blessed month. May the Lord protect you from all harm. May the Lord protect you by putting His Name upon you. “The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you;  The Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26). You are eligible for God’s blessings because you are His dear child. No weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).  You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light (1 Peter 2:9).

This month is a very special month because on August 12th, 1983, my father established the first Jesus Calls Prayer Tower. It is 37 years now. Millions and millions of people have been prayed for through the Prayer Tower ministry. There were 15 Prayer Towers when my father left. Today there are more than 120 Prayer Towers all over the world. We thank God for blessing the Prayer Tower ministry all these 37 years. Thank you for sending your offerings toward the ministry and being a blessing to us. God promises you today that He will prosper you and bring you out of every captivity. The Lord says that He has plans to give you a bright future and fill you with hope to enter into prosperous days. You might be in bondage today! As you pray saying, “Father forgive me as I have not fulfilled Your will in my life, forgive me for not having prayed for others (1 Samuel 12:23) and forgive me for I have not done good to people when I could have (James 4:17), forgive me for having spoken wrong things about my brothers and sisters”, the Lord will forgive you and heal the land.

God is going to give everything back to you in double measure. The hand of the Lord is upon you. He will make His good plans for you to come to pass. The Lord says, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13). When you seek the Lord with longing, before you could finish your prayer God will come to you. He expects you to seek him early in the morning. Not just early in the morning, also seeking Him first whenever you need help. God wants you to prioritize Him and keep Him in the first place. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33). God used my father to touch millions of lives through the Holy Spirit. He would read the Bible early in the morning. He used to pray, “Lord I should see you”. For seven years he prayed unceasingly. Though he had his needs met he longed to see the Lord. One day Jesus appeared to him on the seventh year and blessed him with many spiritual gifts. Even so when you seek God you will find Him and His plans for you will fulfil.

Prayer:
Loving Lord,

I love You. I want You to be my everything. You are more important to me more than anything. Help me to seek You diligently. Let me see Your face. Let me have an intimate relationship with You. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and transform my life. Help me to fulfil Your will and let Your plans for me come to pass.

“Here am I, and the children the Lord has given me. We are signs and symbols in Israel from the Lord Almighty, who dwells on Mount Zion.” (Isaiah 8:18)
How many families can proclaim this today? How greatly the name of the Lord will be glorified if every head of the family could give a testimony like this. The Lord seeks godly offspring like the family of Abraham from generation to generation (Malachi 2:15). Let us meditate today, and see if we and our families have received this blessing and act accordingly. We should pray together as a family. We should pray committing our family into the hands of God saying, “As for me and my household, we will serve you Lord” (Joshua 24:15). We should submit to one another out of reverence for Christ (Ephesians 5:21). When we do so God will choose to bless our family like Abraham’s. Concerning Abraham He said, “For I have chosen him, so that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing righteousness and justice, so that the Lord may bring upon Abraham what He has spoken about him.” (Genesis 18:19).

Mr. V. Appadurai, a beloved servant of God lived in a place called Ambasamudram. He was a violin maestro. He would play the violin with great devotion during church services for the glory of God and Bro. Dhinakaran was his first grandson. During the time when Mr. Doraisamy, the father of Bro. Dhinakaran, went for military service, Bro. Dhinakaran and his mother, stayed with him. On Sundays, he would teach devotional hymns through Carnatic music to his children and grandson Dhinakaran. We do not know whether his children learnt this music or not, but Bro. Dhinakaran learnt it. He accepted the Lord Jesus as His Saviour in his youth through the blessings of his grandfather. He was used by the Lord to do the ministry of the Lord and to glorify the Lord through signs and wonders. His grandfather was immensely happy with his grandson and when his parents chose a life-partner for their son and informed him, he prayed and revealed the will of God in this matter. Yes! It was only because of such devout elders, that our family is for signs and wonders and is blessed by the Lord today.

Dearly beloved! Dedicate yourselves today to receive this kind of immense joy in your lives. When we teach God’s Word to our children they will not depart from it even when they get old. God says, “But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.” (2 Timothy 3:14-15). This is the way to pass on the fear of the Lord from generation to generation and to serve Him faithfully.

Grant Your grace to my family too to excel and bring glory to Your name. Help me to train my children in the Word of the Lord. As for me and my house we will serve You alone O Lord I prostrate at Your feet and implore You to give me this blessing through Your mighty power, O Father, Amen.

“…for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” (Luke 18:14)
Self-righteousness is denying God’s grace and exalting one’s own strength. It makes a person to justify themselves more than they are really worth. At last, it leads a person to lose all the blessings of the Lord. Saul was rejected as king not specifically because he offered sacrifices, but because he disobeyed a direct command that God had given him through the prophet Samuel. He thought himself righteous and missed the mark. Samuel had told Saul, “Go down ahead of me to Gilgal. I will surely come down to you to sacrifice burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, but you must wait seven days until I come to you and tell you what you are to do.”  But Saul, worried that his whole army would desert him, offered the sacrifices himself, just before Samuel arrived.“You have done a foolish thing,” Samuel told him. “You have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you; if you had, he would have established your kingdom over Israel for all time. But now your kingdom will not endure; the Lord has sought out a man after his own heart and appointed him ruler of his people, because you have not kept the Lord’s command.”  (1 Samuel 13:8-14).

Once, Jesus spoke this parable to some who thought they were righteous and despised others. Two men went up to the temple to pray — one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed saying, “God, I thank You that I am not like other men. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.” And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast saying, “God, be merciful on me a sinner!” Jesus said that the Pharisee’s prayer was never heard but the tax collector went back blessed by God.

Dearly beloved, have you ever heard people saying, “I read the Bible, I pray every day, I do Sunday school ministry. I sing for the Lord. I preach the gospel. But, why do I feel depressed and lonely? Why am I unable to feel God’s presence? Why are my prayers not answered?” The reason is simple – it is self-righteousness. Your blessings are not a result of your good works; instead, it is because of God’s grace! For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). Only if we know the value of God’s gift to us, we can treat others the right way and not look down on them which is a sin. We should be careful that we don’t rely on our good works. Stand on God’s grace and rise higher!

Prayer:
Loving heavenly Father,

Forgive my words and deeds of self righteousness. The Bible says that where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. I desire to be free from this bondage of self-righteousness. Set me free. Let me enjoy Your presence and radiate Your glory. Help me to think of others better than myself. Help me to look at the plank in my own eye before I point anyone. Let me humble under Your mighty hand. This I ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. (Luke 6:38)
How is your condition today? Are you poverty stricken? If it is true that you have committed your life to Christ, fall at His feet and confess your sins when circumstances arise wherein a big family has to be maintained with a small salary or when you lament saying, “How will I take care of my child?”. He will never forsake you when you tearfully plead with Him to help you to live a devout life. Keep your small salary at the feet of God every month and pray, “Lord, 2000 years ago, they gave 7 loaves and a few small fish into Your hands; did You not use them to satisfy the hunger of more than 4000 people? There are these many members in my family. I give this small amount into Your hands. Please bless this. I will give a part of this amount as an offering to You.” Experience and see for yourself how your hearts will rejoice when He listens to your prayer and grants blessings to you

In the year 1956, I took up a job for the first time as an untrained teacher. My salary at that time was just Rs.89/-. When I received my salary, I thought within myself that I was a big landlord in this world. I was so proud of it and took it to my father. He took it in his hands and said, “it is ok, we can use this amount to purchase rice.” I thought, “I am so proud of my 89 rupees but my father says, ‘It is only this much?’”  I would tearfully cry out, “Lord, liberate us from this poverty.” Many are the days in which I had lamented, “When will I complete my studies? When will I secure a job and start earning? When will I help my father?” But that day my father taught me a very good lesson. He said to me, “First of all, take 9 rupees from the 89 you have received and give it to the Lord, for His ministry.” I immediately did what he said and there has been no lack in my life due to that. I have been continuously doing this, all these years according to my father’s command. I give to the Lord what is due unto Him as soon as I receive my salary (Malachi 3:10).

The One who touched the bread in the hands of Jesus and broke it to bless it 2000 years ago, will He not likewise help you? He will surely help you. Do not worry. However little be the income you receive, give one-tenth of it into the hands of Christ Jesus and say, “Lord! This is for Your ministry. I give this to You for the gospel to be proclaimed amongst people who do not know You.” Then, you will see how the Lord blesses you and lifts you up. God says, ” Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap” (Luke 6:38). You can trust God to do just as He says. You will overflow with blessings.

Prayer:
Loving Lord,

I surrender my salary into Your hands. Multiply the little I have and make it more than enough for all of us. Let me never lack anything. Let me lend and never borrow. Make me a generous giver.

“So, David went on and became great, and the Lord God of hosts was with him.” (2 Samuel 5:10)
We have entered a new day today. Perhaps, you may be worrying about many things today. You may not have enough money or you may not have peace in your mind. But, the above promise verse says that the Lord God of hosts was with David. So, he became greater and greater as days went on. The God who blessed David shows no partiality (Acts 10:34; Romans 2:11; Galatians 2:6). Whoever you may be or whatever your condition may be, do not worry. But, pray fervently, “Dear Lord, be with me all the days. Though I have many worries and burdens, I do not look at them. I am looking up only to You in my life. You be the help from the heavenly hills (Psalm 121:1) and bless me. Lord, guard me and lead me on the days to come”. Then, you too can become great like David.

A businessman always looked at his money and wealth and went on counting his material possessions. He never looked at God but only depended on his wisdom for the growth of his business. As days went by, he was disappointed to see a slump in his business. He did not know what to do. Because, he was only a nominal Christian, his eyes were closed and he did not know Christ in his heart. So, he did not seek the help of our Lord Jesus as his business went down. One Sunday he went to church and it so happened that the pastor was preaching on the above promise verse. This message touched his heart very much and he realized his miserable condition. He said to himself, “Alas! What a sinner I am! Now, I know that my Lord God is not with me. It is a shame that I did not seek Him even in my bad time!” With a repentant heart, he prayed, “Lord Jesus, from today onwards, I surrender my life to You. Lord, abide in me. Give me Your grace, wisdom and guidance. Bless me, my life and my business”. Our Lord Jesus heard his prayer, had compassion on him and embraced him. Thereafter, he prayed daily before starting his business. Soon, by the grace of God, his business started growing and he opened many more shops.

Yes! You too surrender your life to God. Tell Him, “Lord, unless You bless me, I have no blessings at all in this world.” Then He will surely bless you and make you greater in life (Psalms 40:17). God says to you, “He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:14), so all the blessings of prosperity and peace will come upon you through the sacrifice of Jesus. You will not have to go through suffering any more. God will make you prosper.
Prayer:
Loving heavenly Father!

I place all my trust in You only. Today, You take complete charge of my life. You perfect all my things and bless me. Guide me, guard me and abide in me. Let the blessings of Abraham come upon me and make me prosperous and make me great like David. Let me be above and never below in life.

In the blessed name of my Lord Jesus, I pray,
